The Republic of Belarus stated about 134,000 Ukrainian Citizens last year were refugees from the Russo-Ukrainian war. Most of the Ukrainian refugees first fled to Poland and have since migrated across the border to Belarus. However, some came from Latvia, Lithuania, and even Ukraine directly. However, this number is for the year, so the total number is greater. Ethnic Belarusians and Ukrainians are related, as they are both East Slavic groups, with their languages being partially intelligible, so it makes sense why Ukrainians would choose to travel there.
