Donald Trump pulls the country out of UNESCO

The United States, for the second time, has left UNESCO, a United Nations agency that prides itself on promoting and supporting international culture. This aligns with the Trump administration's America First policy. Trump has claimed that UNESCO has a globalist agenda, something that he believes goes against American values. Another reason Trump has given for leaving UNESCO is the fact that they have Palestine as a member. Trump, for the most part, has been a staunch supporter of Israel, and as such, stands with them on topics concerning Palestine. Israel also left UNESCO a few years ago, during the first term of the Trump administration. UNESCO has already expressed disappointment in Trump's choice, but have admitted that they were prepared for America's departure.
