Due to the PlayStation Network being down for 17+ hours, players are furious.

PlayStation players worldwide have been highly frustrated as the weekend has begun, and people have left school and their jobs. Late Friday afternoon, PlayStation players received notifications about the PlayStation Network being down due to maintenance issues. Without the PlayStation network being open, players can only play single-player games. As of February 8th, the servers have not been brought back online, with players being furious at the event. Due to the sudden server close, there have been suspicions of a hack. This would not have been the first time this happened to Sony, as in 2011, tens of millions of PlayStation players were stopped from playing online games due to the Network being down from a hack. PlayStation has responded with a statement some consider vague, stating that some players were having technical difficulties, and the link that followed revealed that every part of the PlayStation Network was having "issues."
