The Trump administration has been pressuring their Israeli counterparts to end the war. Today, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu met to discuss their plans for its conclusion. Gaza's residents will not be obligated to leave the strip, and would immediately stop all warfare in the region. Moreover, Hamas would have to release all hostages three days after Israel signing the treaty. In exchange, Israel would release all Gazan prisoners they have arrested. The Israeli government has accepted all sections.
So far, reactions to the plan have been mixed. Israeli opposition parties, the Palestinian Authority, and nations such as Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, France, Britain and Qatar have declared their support for the plan. Hamas on the other hand, have been ambiguous on their stance, claiming that they are considering it.
This is not the first time there have been attempts to end the war, but large sections of the world appear to be more confident in this form leading to a permanent peace in the region.
