Nvidia, with its dominating market cap on the stock market, is actively pressuring the Trump administration to soften tariff rates.

Nvidia, one of the largest chipmakers in the American market, has been especially hard-hit by the president's series of reciprocal tariffs. Nvidia is a key importer of foreign steel, aluminum, gold, and other natural resources from non-American countries that list cheaper prices; this allowed the chipmaker to make its signature Blackwell GPUs, which require significant magnitudes of these resources in order to power its groundbreaking artificial intelligence capabilities.
Because of the advent of the conservative president's protectionist tariffs, Nvidia has faced significant pressures both fiscally and in the stock market. The company was forced to invest billions into the American market, much of those funds having been acquired from loans, and had to increase prices on many of its signature products (or is expected to do so soon).
On Wednesday, Nvidia released its grievances on the main target, President Trump. Nvidia made a soft urge to Trump to reduce tariffs to improve the economy. "We need to accelerate the diffusion of American AI technology around the world," Huang said in an appearance with the press. "The policies and encouragement from the administration really need to support that."
However, investors and economists have interpreted this seemingly calm reaction as a strong force of pressure to get favorable economic policies into effect.
