Portugal has been dabbling in alternative energy, and why it is soon to increase

The Portuguese government has recently said it is interested in large-scale wind farm production on its Atlantic Coast. There is already precedent for this, as Portugal already has a 25-megawatt wind farm off the coast of mainland Portugal. If put into place, the wind farms could help with energy prices in the Country and add foreign investment into a nation yearning for it. While this could benefit Portugal, downsides could come with it. Wind farms could come with environmental risks for the fauna in the area, like birds. This plan has the ability to stimulate economic growth in Portugal while also supporting energy diversity.
