Russia Makes Nuclear Threats

The Russian Federation, in retaliation to American/Western involvement in its conflict against Ukraine, has announced a deeply dangerous nuclear doctrine.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, made it clear that he did not want further western involvement in the war. He stated that if any western power attacks Russia or its allies, they may face military threats.

This is not particularly good news, as for the past two years, Russia has taken a more passive approach toward dealing with the west. He did not make as great threats as he is doing now, possibly showing his determination to turn the tide of the war, or merely his desperation in a devastating war of attrition.

As a result, stocks this morning plummeted, and are expected to plummet throughout the day. It is unknown what the United States will do to respond to Russia's new nuclear policy.
