The United States, under a Trump presidency, has not been afraid to show the Cuban government that it means business, as they have restricted Cuban judges who aided in the arrest of dissenters. Trump has been known as a president who focuses on the containment of Cuba instead of cooperation. Trump has placed Cuba back on the list of Terrorist-sponsoring nations, something that the Biden administration rescinded. Cuban-American relations are set to decline under the new administration.
