Markets cooled ahead of better-than-expected CPI data and cooling trade tensions.

The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 declined in share price will the big business-heavy Dow stagnated over the course of the day. These indexes were volatile today as news poured in progressively. The bond market did rally strongly today, however, as the 10-year Treasury notes yield fell marginally.
Stocks generally performed decently today ahead of crucial CPI results in the early morning. The Consumer Price Index rose 0.1%, below the 0.2% expected by most economists and investors. This prevented markets from plummeting, instead holding on to their major gains from the previous two days. In addition, crude reached a two-month high, which became a boom for big oil like Exxon Mobil. Meanwhile, U.S.-China trade talks progressed as both sides unilaterally agreed to proceed with concessions. Trump's demanding of a single basis-point interest rate cut did make some investors pleased, while others remaining indifferent.
The Magnificent Seven saw mixed results, with Tesla and Microsoft increasing in share price while Apple, Google, Amazon, Nvidia, and Meta falling in share price. Tesla evidently continued its rally as it progressed through untamed correction.
Rigetti, previously known as the volatile "high risk, high reward," technology company, made a substantial 11.4% surge today as a result of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang labeling quantum computing as reaching an "inflection point." Quantum Computing Inc. (QUBT) also surged. Ironically, Nvidia managed to fall today despite the CEO's compliment to many of his collaborators. Intel also fell, but for a different reason: it's leveling its surge from yesterday, obviously in corrective territory.
The USD weakened against the Euro, while gold strengthened. Bitcoin investors have taken to online to display their bold predictions for the cryptocurrency to reach $1 million in the imminent future. Bitcoin currently has reached a near all-time high of just over $100k.
