Markets drop after the Fed announces its hesitancy to cut rates quickly.
All index funds plummeted. The S&P 500 fell 1.3%, the Nasdaq fell 2.2%, and the Dow fell 0.7%. These are quite substantial declines, reversing much of the post-election boom.
Nvidia fell by 3.3%, Google fell 2.0%, and Amazon fell 4.2%. Tesla made a decent rebound by 3.1%.
Palantir Technologies surged 11.1% as it became the newest member of the Nasdaq index fund.
