Recently, the El Salvadorian president, Nayib Bukele, met with Donald Trump in the White House, in a fashion that was described as extremely warm and friendly. Both leaders have been known as some of the most controversial people of the 21st century. During the meeting, Bukele reiterated that he had no aspirations to return the deported Abrego Garcia to the United States. Bukele continued with the claim that Garcia was an MS-13 gang member and a terrorist who needed to remain in prison. This is in stark contrast to what Garcia and his family have claimed, which was that he was innocent and was not affiliated with MS-13 in any way. Trump's and Bukele's reactions have stirred anger, especially with the American public.
