Cloned Ferret gives birth- is a milestone in genetics.

Antonia the black-footed ferret is a clone of another ferret, Willia. She has given birth to two offspring, one girl and one boy. This has made her the first clone in the United States to have offspring as an endangered species. Due to this, she has set the precedent that endangered species can be cloned and can then be used as a way to bring back and conserve the population. The hope is that the black-footed ferret, at a population of around 370 can return back to LC (least concern status) eventually.
