President Donald Trump's Department of Justice has released NYC Mayor Eric Adams from all of his charges temporarily.

Eric Adams has been the center of attention in recent months for indictments which were inflicted on him for various reasons, one of which was political involvement between him and Turkish forces.
However, with the ascension of President Trump into office, who faced similarly lethal charges against him, he ordered his Department of Justice to alleviate all charges against Eric Adams, at least for now. This notice was sent by Emil Bove III, the departments no. 2 official.
The Trump agency cited concerns over the lack of suitable evidence for the indictment against Adams.
This has caused many concerns to erupt across the political spectrum. Republicans worry that Trump is being too soft to influential Democrats like Adams who they should target using the courts to get political victories for themselves. Democrats who've previously supported Adams now want him to get removed from office, with impeachment efforts still in the realm of possibility.
Several Democrats have cited possible runs in the 2025 to challenge Adams, ranging from City Comptroller Brad Lander to Assemblymembers Michael Blake to Hedge Fund Manager Whitney Tilson.
