The Big U docked in Philidelphia Pier.
Since the last article, the SS United States has been struggling. A federal judge rejected the conservancy's appeal for more time to leave Philadelphia Pier. As of today, the conservancy has until September 12th to find an area to bring the enormous Ocean liner and remove her from the pier. In the last article, Escambia County in Florida showed interest in buying the ship to turn her into a reef. However, the Board of Discussions in Escambia has shut the idea down for now. In other news, Okaloosa County in Florida has agreed to buy the liner instead. In the meantime, the county and the conservancy are in talks about a deal. The most likely solution is a compromise where there might be a museum next to the wreck. In general, things are not looking good for the Big U.
