With the rise of automation and data processing software, the need for manual data entry clerks is diminishing. Many companies are now using software to input and manage data, reducing the demand for human data entry clerks. Data entry clerks number at over 139,000.


2. Telemarketers


Robocalls and automated marketing systems are becoming more common, making the role of telemarketers less necessary. Many companies are opting for automated calling systems to reach out to potential customers, eliminating the need for human telemarketers. Telemarketers number at almost 40,000.


3. Cashiers


As self-checkout kiosks and online shopping continue to gain popularity, the need for human cashiers is decreasing. Many retail stores and supermarkets are implementing automated checkout systems, reducing the demand for traditional cashiers. Cashiers make up a whopping 2,750,000.


4. Travel Agents


Online travel booking platforms and apps have made it easier for individuals to plan and book their own trips without the need for a travel agent. The role of travel agents is becoming less relevant as more people turn to online resources for their travel needs. Travel agents number 58,000 total employees.
