The U.S. House Oversight Committee has announced that it released more than 33,000 pages of the infamous "Epstein files," which many Americans have pressured the Trump administration into doing so for months.

It was specifically through the wand of James Comer, the Republican Chair of the oversight committee, that they issued a subpoena last month to the Department of Justice, and today they were able to use the subpoena to extract 33,295 pages of records, which they cited to be the initial batch of records from the DOJ.

The records should contain hundreds of images, videos, and police bodycam footage from searches and victim interviews, many of which were newly declassified.

Mr. Comer stated that through the DOJ he is producing the records while also protecting the identities of the victims, but members in Congress have advocated for full disclosure.

Meanwhile, Republicans including Speaker Mike Johnson have called out against the full disclosure of the files, supporting Trump's recent position of holding off the Epstein files while also "protecting sensitive material.
